FAQs
Do you sell reprints of Weavings articles?
We have a very limited number of Weavings reprints (in PDF format) available through our online bookstore. Please contact us for permission to photocopy articles not available for sale.
Do I need permission to copy articles?
Yes. Copying articles requires permission from our office. Please contact us for permission and for the appropriate credit line to use.
How often is Weavings published?
Weavings is published 6 times a year, or bi-monthly.
Do you accept freelance submissions?
Would it be acceptable to submit freelance material without regard to a theme in hope of it being considered?
There is always the possibility that a freelance piece lends itself to a theme, but one never knows. Please see our writers' guidelines for more details.
Would it be possible for me to get descriptions of your themes for several years in advance?
No. Our themes are determined only one year in advance, usually in March. You can find our current themes here.
If the themes for future issues are not on your website, how can I find out what they will be?
You may request a copy by e-mail or send a SASE requesting them to be mailed to you. View the current themes here.
Do you accept poetry?
We do accept poetry, but request that only five poems be submitted in one mailing. Please see our writers' guidelines for more details.
What is the difference between "All Assignments Made" and "Copy Due" dates?
"All Assignments Made" marks the time when we have received most submissions, reviewed them, and decided which authors we will include in the new volume of Weavings issues.
The "Copy Due" date is relevant only to those authors who submitted proposals rather than finished articles and whose article proposals were accepted. Completed articles developed from those proposals are due at this time. Only after this date, which differs for each issue, does the editing begin. Please see our writers' guidelines for more details.
Is Weavings offered in large print?
At this time, Weavings is offered only in a regular print format.
Is it possible to access back issues electronically?
You may access a list of our back issues electronically by going to our website. At this time we do not offer electronic copies of back issues.
