Be an example by becoming a chartered Covenant Prayer Group and a Remote Prayer Partner for The Upper Room Living Prayer Center.

Upper Room Ministries

HERE'S THE 411:
  • The Upper Room Living Prayer Center is a 24/7 intercessory prayer ministry staffed by volunteers. More than 30,000 prayer requests are received by the center each month.
  • Chartered Covenant Prayer Groups (consisting of between 2 and 14 people) across the globe meet regularly to pray for the concerns forwarded by email, fax, or phone from The Upper Room Living Prayer Center.
  • Remote Prayer Centers are established in churches or homes across the country. During arranged hours, The Upper Room Living Prayer Center routes calls to a phone at a remote site. Local people at that site can speak and pray directly with the caller.


YOUTH GROUPS CAN BECOME INVOLVED IN EITHER OR BOTH OF THESE MINISTRIES! HERE'S HOW:

  • Youth groups will complete a prepatory 6-week study of The Workbook of Living Prayer - 20th anniversary edition by Maxie Dunnam. (A 40% discount is available when ordered through The Upper Room Living Prayer Center.)
  • After the study, a letter of recommendation from the pastor and the completed charter request form are sent to The Upper Room Living Prayer Center.
  • A certificate of charter from The Upper Room is sent to the Covenant Prayer Group. Prayer requests are sent to the group by mail on a regular basis.
  • The newly chartered Covenant Prayer Group sets aside time to begin studying Closer to God Prayer Journal.
  • To schedule a Remote Prayer Center call 1-877-899-2780 ext. 7215.
  • Groups will receive from The Upper Room The Living Prayer Newsletter and The Upper Room Prayer Audiotape, which offer practical advice and answer faq's about the prayer line.
