About devozine
devozine is a devotional magazine designed just for youth and published by Upper Room Ministries in Nashville, Tennessee. It is written by teenagers and by adults who work with and care about teens.
The magazine was started in 1996 after a small group of teens in South Dakota challenged the church to come up with a magazine "just for them." (Read about devozine's beginnings in an article from our very first issue.)
devozine's purpose is to help youth 12-18 years old develop a lifelong practice of spending time with God and of reflecting on what God is doing in their lives.
Each issue of the bi-monthly, 64-page, full-color magazine focuses on nine themes, one for each week. Each theme includes weekday meditations and a feature article on the weekend. Meditations may be read in chronological or random order.
As a companion to devozine, we publish with each issue the Guide for Mentors and Small Groups. This resource gives adult mentors and small group leaders everything they need to lead youth through weekly sessions based on the themes presented in devozine.
The vision for devozine magazine has always included a worldwide community of teens encouraging and challenging each other. We hope that this website will be an added bonus to the magazine and help to fulfill its vision -- giving you opportunity to chat with other teens about life and about God -- to share your poetry, your opinions, and your writing -- to get extra spiritual food for your Christian walk.
devozine is staffed by these folks:

She enjoys family time with her husband Dean and her son Ben. She also likes music, movies, mysteries, crafts, sports (playing and being a soccer mom!), and most anything outdoors.
Nicole Corlew. Nicole is the associate editor of devozine. She has been with the magazine since 1999. She enjoys reading, cooking, swing dancing, playing tennis, and listening to music.
Melanie Hooper. Melanie is the editorial assistant of devozine. She has been with the General Board of Discipleship since 1995 and worked for devozine since 2001. She enjoys being out in the sun, walking, swimming, and taking care of her plants.
